Murugadas to remake Kick with Salman

Ace filmmaker A.R. Murugadas has been waiting for a long time following the success of his Bollywood venture Ghajini. Although the director has signed a film for Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant banner with Suriya in the lead, it looks like the project could take more time to commence. Industry sources reveal that the unassuming director has now quietly shifted back to Bollywood, where he recently caught up with Salman Khan. As the Bollywood star had already committed to do a film with Murugadas, the latter pitched the idea of a remake to Salman, who shares a great rapport with him. This time Murugadas has chosen the Telugu blockbuster Kick, which had Ravi Teja and Ileana in the lead. Reportedly, Murugadas who is finicky about choosing his heroines has approached Deepika Padukone to play Ileana’s role in the new film. The buzz is that in all probability, Shaam who played an important role in Kick might make his Bollywood debut through this film.
